6 Tips for Cyber Monday Shopping

Cyber Monday Tips

Did you know that Cyber Monday is coming up on Monday, November 27th? Have you ever shopped a Cyber Monday sale before?I am starting to think that Black Friday is dead. USA Today agrees with me. I went out shopping today in 4 stores and the deals were all mediocre at best. I DID have fun... but part of me wishes I would have just stayed home and snuggled with my little baby and not fought the crowds!I'm convinced that you get better deals on Cyber Monday than on Black Friday.I consider myself kind of an online shopping pro. (You can ask my mailman. He goes to my husband's church! 😜)

But... here's why Cyber Monday is GREAT. If any corporate office wasn't pleased with their Black Friday sales, they will make their Cyber Monday deals even MORE enticing, with bigger discounts as well as free shipping! They want to get back in the black!

Without much further ado, here's my 6 tips for Cyber Monday Shopping.

  1. Make a list of the things you need, and the gifts you'd like to purchase. Consider what kind of gift each person might want. If you make a list, you're less likely to keep spending money on things for yourself. (Guilty 😱)
  2. Start EVERY shopping trip at Ebates.com. NO MATTER WHAT! They pay you to shop at stores that you already go to. Just start at Ebates.com and they'll give you a check with 2%-10% cash back on your purchase! I just got a check for $20 bucks doing some Christmas shopping! Join now and get a $10 reward, just for joining! I get a kickback when you join through THIS LINK. Cyber Monday
  3. Only buy from stores that you really recognize, like Amazon.com, Ebates.com, Groupon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com, etc. Almost ALL major retailers offer serious Cyber Monday deals.
  4. Consider getting holiday gifts and services from Groupon.com. They have lots of unique gifts for family and friends. (My last purchase was a book on how to train your cats, Kansas City Chiefs playing cards, a wireless Samsung charging port, and solar-powered globe patio lights... all for about $60! I knocked off several names off my gift list with that one!) If you use my link, you get $10 off your first purchase! (And I get $10, too! Win/win!)
  5. Kohl's is made for online shopping. Between the discounts, free shipping (once you hit $50), Kohl's Cash ($10 for every $50 you spend), and Yes2You Rewards ($5 for every 100 points/dollars) this place is the pajama shopper's paradise. You have to keep track of your discount codes (start at Ebates before you go to the Kohl's section and they will usually give you a free online promo code like GIVETHANKS20 for 20% off, etc) and you have to remember to use your Kohl's cash, but the satisfaction of saving is worth it for me!
  6. I know from personal experience... Online shopping is best done after you put the kids to bed, and best done in your pajamas. Ice cream optional.

So! Are you ready to do some Cyber Monday shopping? Those retailers are wanting to get rid of their Black Friday doorbusters that didn't sell like they were expecting. Let them take the hit. Plus start at Ebates.com and you take another 2%-10% from them! (It feels illegal but it isn't.)Hope you find a great deal!Sarah

P.S. What do you think?
